The logo depicts the outline of the Tanghalang Maria Makiling (Makiling the Fairy Theater), popularly known as the National Arts Center, a proud landmark of the Philippine High School for the Arts, the home of the 1st National Youth Forum on Heritage (1NYFH) on 11-14 November 2015. A work by National Artist Leandro Locsin built in 1977, the Tanghalang Maria Makiling is a pressumed important cultural property under the National Cultural Heritage Act of 2009. The structure's outline on the logo was executed by Gillan Alfonso, an Advertsting Arts graduate of the Bulacan State University and member of the Design Team of Project Saysay.
Below the Tanghalang Maria Makiling outline is the theme of the 1NYFH, “Entering the Future Remembering the Past,” is inspired by Jose Rizal’s epigraph to his 1880 award-winning play El Consejo de los Dioses (The Council of Gods) “Con el recuerdo del pasado entro en el porvenir” (“I enter the future remembering the past”). Rizal was a native of Laguna, and Mt. Makiling was among his inspirations.
Showcasing the youthfulness of the Hand of Sean typeface, the typography is the official label of the National Youth Forum on Heritage Program. It was conceptualized and executed by Ian Alfonso, NYFH Chairman.
